"Go With All Your Heart"

Sorry to those of you you who like updates, I've been a little slow..well more like a little busy! I feel like I should start bringing a tent to work with me, so I can save on the travel time. Anyway, today I ran errands, for my moms birthday present. I get SO excited to give people presents, I love when I come up an idea that's just straight up awesome! b/c my moms birthday isn't until Saturday, in case she reads this before hand I can't be super detaily.. Anyway, the errands! I was running all over Ft. Collins today to pick up the peaces I needed for her present. Normally its somewhat stressful to run errands in Ft. Collins b/c of all the slow drivers, the million lights, and how spread out it is. It was none of the above, I got everywhere I needed to be in a timely fashion, and even had time to spare to sit and have some lunch before I went to work. Everyone that I encountered today I was greeted with more then a smile and a hello, but a cheery hello, and a friendly smile. It made feel really good about going into these certain places, which made me in an excellent mood going into work. I had a particular table that I've served one of the guys before. The first time I couldn't have been more busy, more sweaty, and more in a bad mood. This time I was sure to be much nicer, and less sweaty.. :) As I walked up to the table he gave me a friendly Hello! and started to tell me what he and his friend wanted. I stayed around and chatted and then left them to eat. My manager first asked if I knew them, I said no, then he commented how friendly I am to random strangers. I told him, well, when you go out wouldn't you like to have someone who's talkative and friendly versus someone who just puts your order in and that's that? They left after a while and I continued to close up the bar. If any of you have ever closed a bar before, you know that its the most tedious cleaning you've ever done! and its not like you can just half ass it, that's totally no bueno! you have to clean every single nook and cranny you can possibly think of. But because people were so nice to me while running errands, and people I served at work I totally didn't mind.. so I'm going to leave you with this.. be nice to your waiters and waitresses, and the people you encounter on your errands!

post secret

I'm not sure if any of you know of post secret, or read it ever, if you don't then you probably wont understand this entry. So.. enlighten yourself and go visit! www.postsecret.com Theirs people that send in postcards, letters, pictures, all anonymously that say random messages. So, today when I was thinking of what to write for my next entry, I was thinking of what I've been up to theses past few days, and nothing out of the ordinary stuck out. I don't want to bore my readers, so I decided to create a post secret type entry. What sparked this? well the other day my dear mother asked what was wrong, she said I wasn't myself. I replied with "It's just one of those days, it's not a good day, or a bad day, it's just...ya know?" She gave me a slightly confused but slightly intrigued look. So when ever I'm having one of those days, I usually look at cards that people sent me, or read year book comments, something to make my self esteem go up. I'm the type of person that throws away, donates, gives away, most things that I've not used in a while. Cards are something that I keep. I have so many cards that I just love, and put them all over my room. Some of my favorites are in this little brown paper bag. This is where the post secret comes in, I took pictures of the notes, cards, pictures that I've received, here are some of my favorites...enjoy!

My Little Adventure

I had in mind that I had to go somewhere else, do something else, and experience this amazing "little adventure" to have a blog. That's kind of where my story starts. I needed to get out of Ft. Collins for a while, experience something that I could call my own. So I applied to work out East. Cape Cod, is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I love it. When people talk about their happy places, or the place they feel most comfortable, or happiest.. The Cape is mine. I applied to work at this little open to the public country club type of place. I didn't think with the millions of applications I'd have a chance in getting in. I got an email a couple weeks later about an interview, and a couple weeks after my interview, i had the job! HOORAY! right? I was SO excited! Finally I get to start out on my little adventure! I get to experience The Cape for more then a week, I get to meet new people, I get to make lots of money... Well turns out, things didn't go as planned. I would have needed to buy a new car, b/c lets face it, we all know that my trusty old Volvo wouldn't make it, and a few weeks before I was scheduled to be out there, I found out I had to find my own housing, and it went down hill from there. I made the hardest and smartest decision that I've had to make a in a while. I called up my manager that I didn't know, and told her I wasn't coming because of school. So now..I'm staying in good old Ft. Collins, working, at the same place, and wait..it gets better.. taking summer classes!! (woot woot) ya..not really.. I feel in a way, a sigh of relief, but also a sigh of regret. Relief because I get to make sure I have the money when I plan to go out again, I can figure out housing before hand, and I'll have all my financial business taken care of. I'm going to be more a head in school, so that means graduating sooner :) Regret, because I was in every way looking forward to this. I needed a change, I wanted to go out on a limb and be somewhere where I didn't know anyone and make new friends, get lost! but..that will just have to wait. I also decided that my little adventure, is going to be writing about my summer here..in Ft. Collins. Hopefully by next summer, I'll be blogging from Cape Cod!
